Hamlin to wheel #81 at California

Kevin Hamlin, a driver for Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates, will make his first appearance in Nationwide Series competition this season when he climbs into the #81 Dodge for MacDonald Motorsports this weekend at the California Speedway.
The team's regular driver, DJ Kennington, also drives in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and will be at Cayuga Speedway for that event. This left the seat of the #81 open for California, and Hamlin was chosen to fill in.

"I'm really excited to be helping out Randy and team this weekend. Randy's been in this sport a long time and has a lot of respect around the garage area, so for him to call is really cool. It'll be great to be in a race situation again, and we're looking forward to a good run in the Mahindra Tractors Dodge."

The Camping World RV Service 300 presented by Coleman gets underway at 9:45PM EST on Saturday night, and can be seen live on ESPN2.
